I’ve always struggled with dark circles under my eyes, it must be all the early mornings mucking out, and any horse owner will tell you there is no such thing as a lie in! I’m not sure why but it seems my skin is very see through there and if I don’t get at least 8 hours sleep it makes it even worse! (Insert sad face emoji!) I also have a lot of red pigment on my face in different areas.
I’m forever searching for something to help with this. I’ve started to use a good moisturiser and I’m finding that drinking more water is also helping but I will always turn to beauty products to camouflage as well!
I seem to spend half my wages in Superdrug and I’m a sucker for a new product so when I heard the make up assistant talking about these colour correcting wands by Barry M, my ears pricked up!
I tried the tester on the back of my hand and what struck me first was 1 the texture, 2, the coverage, so I popped the green (for redness) and the yellow (for dark circles) in my basket.
So using these for the first time, my initial thoughts were confirmed for both products. The texture was good, they aren’t chalky like other pigment crayons or creams I have used previously and they both cover well, but also light enough to layer up if needed without caking.
I use them as a base under my make up, before my foundation, then if I’m feeling really tired I’ll add another layer of the yellow before my concealer. The yellow works well as a primer over my eyelids before eye shadow and the green is also great for helping to cover spots!
They are only £4.49 each, and all Barry M cosmetics are cruelty free, meaning they don’t test on animals and these ones in particular are also suitable for vegans to use- Win Win!
I really like them and they do seem to make a difference, so they are definitely invited to the exclusive realms of my make up bag!
They can bought from the links below or in store at your local Barry M stockist such as Superdrug.
